Send him the message CB_SHOWDROPDOWN :

        ComboBox1.Perform ( CB_SHOWDROPDOWN , 1 , 0 ) ; {Opens}

        ComboBox1.Perform ( CB_SHOWDROPDOWN , 0 , 0 ) ; {Closes}
